CASAs Alison Hatch & Paul Meyer
Our March CASAs of the Month are Alison Hatch & Paul Meyer!
Alison and Paul were both appointed to their very first case exactly a year ago this month and continue to radiate passion for the family they are appointed to. The family involves 4 kiddos, ages ranging from 1 to 11.
In the time they have been appointed to this case they have committed approximately 100 hours, meetings with each child’s teacher, and one is always in attendance at their court hearings. Paul has supported the family by providing countless car rides to get the kiddos to school on time. Alison has supported the professionals on the team by providing court ordered unannounced visits. The CASA duo has organized all kinds of activities including: gingerbread decorating, exploring children’s museums, bowling, and library visits. Alison and Paul were also able to get swimming lessons secured for the older children. Believe it or not, BVFC could fill an activity book with the creativity and effort they have put into their visits.
Most of all, Alison and Paul give special attention to the family relationships in their court reports, highlighting the strengths of this family. CASAs took special note to acknowledge the goodbye hugs and “I love you’s” the kids say to their parents as they leave and return from school.
Alison and Paul’s contributions to the family they have supported have not gone unnoticed, and it is our pleasure to congratulate them on being our March CASAs of the Month! Thank you both for all that you have done for BVFC and for children and families in the Boulder County community!
