Thank You for Joining Us!
Thank you for joining Voices for Children, CASA of Boulder County, at our Appreciation and Awareness Reception! Your presence helped make the evening a meaningful celebration of the volunteers, partners, and supporters who stand up for children and youth in our community.
This year's reception marked a milestone for our organization: the launch of our Juvenile Delinquency (JD) CASA Program. Through this program, trained CASA volunteers will advocate for youth involved in the juvenile justice system, helping ensure their voices are heard and their needs are met as they move through the court process.
We were honored to hear from Bruce Parker, Board Member and Executive Director of Rocky Mountain Equality; Michael Dougherty, Board Member and Boulder County District Attorney; and Margaret Bachrach, Voices for Children's CEO.
"As a CASA, you make a meaningful difference in a child's life - a child that doesn't have many people looking out for them."
"Every child deserves a safe environment to grow up in, including a roof over their head, nutritious food in the belly, and an opportunity for education. I'm happy to be a part of the process by being a caring adult who can help a child receive those things."
"There is nothing like the feeling of earning a hug from a child who is generally suspicious of everybody. It's amazing what your calm, regular, and reliable presence can do for a child in need. This is one of the most rewarding volunteer opportunities out there!"
