Welcome New CASA Class!
March Newsletter
Dear Friends and Supporters,
As we recognize Volunteer Appreciation Month this month, I would like to highlight the extraordinary work of our CASA volunteers and the life-changing impact they have on children in our community.
CASA volunteers step into some of the most complex and sensitive situations imaginable. They advocate for children who have experienced abuse or neglect ensuring that each child’s voice is heard, and their best interests remain the priority.
Beyond the courtroom, CASA volunteers offer something equally powerful: consistency. For many children navigating the uncertainty of the child welfare system, a CASA volunteer may be the one stable adult who remains by their side throughout the duration of their case. They celebrate milestones, monitor educational and medical needs, and help ensure that no child is overlooked.
For instance, one CASA volunteer recently shared that their appointed youth looks forward to seeing them and playing together. They were also happy to share that the grandmother of the child has stated that she feels supported by the CASA and can talk to them about family matters.
This level of advocacy requires dedicated training, deep commitment, and tremendous compassion. Your support makes it possible for us to recruit, train, supervise, and sustain these dedicated volunteers so they can continue to stand up for children who need them most.
During Volunteer Appreciation Month, we celebrate the courage and dedication of our CASA volunteers! Together, we are helping to create brighter, safer futures for the children we serve.
With Gratitude,
Margaret Bachrach

Sandwich Ladies Face-Off Benefitting Voices for Children
Visit Lindsay’s Boulder Deli and the Organic Sandwich Company between now and late March for some comfort food for a good cause! The annual Sandwich Ladies Face Off showcases both restaurants' take on the classic grilled cheese and tomato soup.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Voices for Children, CASA of Boulder County. This celebration of classic food and community is a great way to show some local love.
Bridges Out Of Poverty Training
Voices for Children was thrilled to welcome Susana Lopez-Baker, Executive Director of Boulder County Housing Authority and former VFC Board President for the Bridges Out of Poverty Training on February 18th.
Susana shared this nationally renowned curriculum with CASA volunteers and staff and helped attendees expand their knowledge about the dynamics of poverty and better serve children and families from all backgrounds and walks of life.
Welcome New CASA Class!
Please join us in welcoming our first CASA class of 2026! On February 10, we had the honor of swearing in 12 dedicated community members who are now stepping up to serve children across Boulder County. We’re excited to see the meaningful impact they’ll make in the lives of local youth!
