Marianne Balin is our August CASA Of The Month! Marianne has been a dedicated advocate for nearly nine years! In that time, she has served on 4 cases, dedicating hundreds of hours to 11 children. Marianne takes a kind and gentle approach to each case she is assigned, gaining rapport quickly and becoming a trusted adult in the life of each child. On her current case, Marianne dedicates time teaching the youth how to cook, attending fun events, and taking them out for sushi. This child has lovingly nicknamed Marianne "Gram Gram", and the two share a rather special bond. Marianne has been able to identify the things that this child enjoys, and the things that this child is especially skilled in, and their time together is spent pouring into these things. She has helped build confidence and shape identity in this youth and it has surely made a life-long impact.

Marianne is a kind but fierce advocate for the children in Boulder County, and we couldn't be more thankful for her time, dedication and heart. Our hope is for every child to have an advocate like her.
