We are excited to recognize Cathy Jenni as our CASA of the Month for April!

Cathy was sworn in with Voices for Children Boulder in September 2024, but her dedication to advocacy began long before. Cathy served as a CASA for many years in her previous home state of Montana. Shortly after being sworn in, Cathy took on a case involving a sibling group split between two homes. She has seamlessly balanced multiple visits each month at both placements and has stepped in to assist with transportation whenever needed.

Cathy is an integral part of her case team, which proudly refers to themselves as the “dream team," a title they truly live up to. Reflecting on their collaboration, Cathy shares, “We create a team for the children, their families, and the complex systems where they live.” Each of the three children on her case has unique needs, and Cathy has been a tireless advocate, ensuring they receive the educational, therapeutic, and developmental support they deserve.

Cathy’s passion for working with children extends far beyond her role as a CASA. When asked what drew her to the program, she shares, “What I love about being a CASA volunteer is how well it aligns with my academic and clinical background. After accumulating a wealth of knowledge over the years, I now have the opportunity to give it away for the best interests of the child. I can’t tell you how good that feels. My child and family development training has had the space to grow and deepen. Wow!”
