Our January CASA of the Month is Jessica Henley
Our January CASA of the Month is Jessica Henley! Jessica has been an invaluable part of our volunteer corps for over eight years, and has served on multiple cases with unwavering dedication. Over the years, she has always advocated for the best interests of the children and families in our community to the fullest extent possible.
On her current case, Jessica supports three amazing children who have been in the foster care system for over two years. She has advocated for the kids in multiple ways - Jessica stays in touch with school professionals, makes recommendations for mental health support, and consistently attends court and keeps the professional team apprised of the latest happenings.
Jessica reports that the best part of being a CASA is "when I know I've made a solid connection with the kiddo and that they trust me. I'm still in touch with the first teen I ever volunteered with and he's a wonderful young man with meaningful relationships and career goals. It's so wonderful to see him enjoying life!"
Jessica's commitment goes far beyond just her own caseload. Recently, she took the initiative to help organize and fulfill a holiday gift drive for the children served by Voices for Children, CASA of Boulder County - ensuring that all the children we serve received gifts that brightened their holidays. This thoughtful act is just one example of her kindness and generosity.
Thank you, Jessica, for your passion, commitment, and selfless service. Your impact is truly immeasurable, and we are incredibly grateful for the positive change you’ve helped bring to so many lives. Here's to many more years of making a difference!
