Our March CASA of the Month is Lindsey Anderson
We are thrilled to recognize Lindsey Anderson as our CASA of the Month for March! Lindsey joined Voices for Children as a CASA in the winter of 2022. Soon after being sworn in, she eagerly took on her first case. Since then, she has advocated on multiple CASA cases, working with children from infancy through their toddler years. Lindsey has a remarkable ability to connect not only with the child but also with their family members, fostering meaningful relationships that strengthen her advocacy efforts.
Currently, Lindsey is serving as the CASA for an infant demonstrating commitment to the child’s well-being while also advocating for the parent. She has worked diligently to support the parents’ efforts, helping them access essential resources, encouraging their progress, and keeping the team informed. She consistently attends family meetings, providing support and valuable insight to help maintain connections between the child and parent. Her ability to balance the needs of both highlights her compassion and dedication to best-interest advocacy.
Beyond her direct work with families, Lindsey actively participates in case meetings, offers thoughtful recommendations, and ensures the child's best interests remain at the forefront of all decisions. She navigates complex family dynamics with empathy and professionalism, collaborating closely with caseworkers, attorneys, and service providers.
Reflecting on her role as a CASA Lindsey shared, "I love being able to support the kiddos, parents, and everyone else involved in the case. There can be a lot of moving pieces, but it is exciting to feel part of a team that is looking out for the best interests of the kids. As a CASA, you get to focus on one specific case, and you are often the one who spends the most time with the kids."
Lindsey’s dedication has had a positive impact on the children and families she had served. We are so grateful for her!
