Our February CASA of the Month is Seth Hanau

Our February CASA of the Month is Seth Hanau! Seth has been a volunteer with Voices for Children, CASA of Boulder County for almost five years, and has served on multiple cases during his time as a volunteer. Over the years, he has always advocated for the best interests of the children and families in our community.

Seth has created lasting relationships with the children and families he advocates for. In addition to being a CASA on an open case, Seth still keeps in touch with the two boys from a previous case. The boys are always excited to see him, and he has become a great source of support for their mother and the family.

Seth’s commitment to the mission of VFC goes far beyond just his own CASA cases. Seth has also been a member of the Board of Directors since 2022, and currently holds the role of Board Treasurer. Seth has brought his own professional and personal experience to this role, and has helped guide the direction and of VFC so that we may continue our critical work in the community for years to come.

In reflecting on why he became a CASA volunteer, Seth shared that his motivation stemmed from a deep desire to support children and families in a way that prevents further hardship and helps break cycles of trauma, abuse, and neglect. He understands that early intervention can make a profound difference in a child’s life, and he hopes to play a role in mitigating the long-term effects of these experiences by advocating for services and resources that prioritize their wellbeing.

Thank you, Seth, for your passion, commitment, and selfless service. Your impact is truly immeasurable, and we are incredibly grateful for the positive change you’ve helped bring to so many lives. Here's to many more years of making a difference, and congratulations on being our February CASA of the Month!
