Royal Family Kids Camp: Overnight camp for foster and kinship kids.

Dates: May 27-31, 2025 (Tuesday to Saturday)

Ages of campers: 7-11

Royal Family KIDS Camp is a faith-based, no-cost camp that fosters resiliency, self-esteem, hope, and positive memories. The camp curriculum and activities are woven through the modality of Trust-Based Relational Intervention to ensure our children are experiencing truly life-giving activities throughout the 5-day experience. Colorado Child Passenger Safety Law

In June 2024, Gov. Jared Polis signed HB24-1055, a new bill that updates Colorado’s child passenger safety law. These updates reflect the latest research-based recommendations on car seat, booster seat and seat belt use for children. The updates, which became effective Jan. 1, 2025, will ensure that laws keep pace with evolving best practices for car seat and booster seat use. Denver Zoo Tickets for CASA Volunteers and Kids!

The Denver Zoo has generously offered FREE Denver Zoo Daytime Admission Tickets for CASA staff and volunteers to be used for an excursion with CASA youth. The Zoo is open daily from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., entry gate closes at 4:00 p.m. Not redeemable for special events. Children 2 and under free.

Individualized Education Program Help

Does the youth you advocate for have an IEP or 504 plan, or do they need additional services and support in school? Longtime CASA Volunteer and former Speech Language Pathologist and Special Education Coordinator, Georgia Magnera, has significant experience in this field and is willing to answer questions and provide support to CASAs as they advocate around the educational needs of the youth they serve. If you have questions or are looking for guidance around educational advocacy, please contact Jenny Cassin at jenny@bouldervfc.org.

City of Boulder Double Up Food Bucks Home Delivery Program

Boulder County Public Health recently launched a new home delivery Double Up pilot where City of Boulder SNAP recipients who are either older adults, single parents, living with a disability, or have a transportation barrier can get $40 worth of produce delivered for free for only $20 EBT. Please note, this program is only available to SNAP participants who reside in the City of Boulder.

Mileage Reimbursement

As a CASA volunteer, you can receive mileage reimbursement for any case-related travel or transportation of your CASA youth. Please use this form to submit your mileage and reach out to your Advocate Supervisor with any questions.

Child Enrichment Fund

Each child VFC serves is eligible to receive funding for enrichment activities and/or goods through the Child Enrichment Fund. This can include items like school supplies, clothing, or activities such as sports enrollment, tutoring, or lessons. Please contact your Advocate Supervisor if you would like to make a CEF request for your appointed child. The CEF Request Form can be accessed here.
